Fungalite Phase 2 is a medium chain triglyceride (MCT)–based supplement that provides caprylic acid (C8) sourced from coconut oil, together with other carefully selected ingredients, and is used as the second step in a Metabolics antifungal support programme, usually after at least one month on Fungalite Phase 1. It supplies specific MCTs that help support the body’s natural defences against fungal overgrowth in the gut, alongside appropriate diet and lifestyle changes as advised by a healthcare practitioner.
What Fungalite Phase 2 contains
Fungalite Phase 2 contains medium chain triglycerides providing caprylic acid (C8) and capric acid (C10) from coconut oil. These are targeted fatty acids often used in nutritional protocols for gut fungal overgrowth such as Candida.
The formula does not contain probiotics such as Combocillus; any probiotic support would be added separately if recommended by a healthcare practitioner.
How it works
Caprylic and capric acids can permeate fungal cell membranes, altering their structure and the local environment inside the cell.
By affecting membrane integrity and local pH, these MCTs help weaken fungal cells so the body’s own immune and digestive systems can manage them more effectively, as part of a broader gut‑support plan; this should always be described as nutritional support, not as treatment or cure of a disease.
When to use it
Fungalite Phase 2 is usually taken after at least one month on Fungalite Phase 1, which combines botanicals such as olive leaf, garlic, grapefruit seed and oregano extracts to provide initial broad‑spectrum antifungal and antimicrobial support.
It can be used alongside Metabolics Oregano Oil and a suitable probiotic (for example, Combocillus) if this is recommended by the customer’s healthcare practitioner as part of a wider protocol.
How to take it
Suggested use: take 2 capsules twice daily with food, unless a healthcare practitioner advises otherwise.
Customers should not exceed the recommended daily dose and should be advised to consult their doctor or practitioner before changing dose, especially if they have a medical condition or are taking any medication.
Safety and storage
Store Fungalite Phase 2 in a cool, dry place and keep the lid tightly closed; the capsules should ideally be used within 3 months of opening to maintain quality.
If pregnant, trying to conceive or breastfeeding, the customer should be clearly advised to seek medical advice before using Fungalite Phase 2 or combining it with other supplements such as oregano oil or probiotics, in line with UK and EU food supplement guidance.
Important clarification about Combocillus
Combocillus is a separate Metabolics probiotic formula used to support healthy gut flora, often alongside antifungal protocols.
Fungalite Phase 2 does not contain Combocillus; instead, Combocillus (or another suitable probiotic) can be taken alongside Phase 1 and/or Phase 2 if appropriate and agreed with the customer’s practitioner.
