Supplements for cognitive health and memoryUpdated 2 months ago

Short answer for customers

Metabolics does not provide individual supplement recommendations for cognitive health or memory. Customers can browse the Cognitive and Memory Support collection and discuss any products they are considering with a suitably qualified healthcare practitioner.

Key guidance for agents

When a customer asks for “the best supplement for memory”, “what to take for brain fog”, “what is good for concentration” or any similar cognitive health query:

  • Do not recommend any specific product or combination.

  • Do not rank or compare products (for example “X is best for memory” or “Y is stronger than Z”).

  • Do not refer to Metabolics supplements as treatments for medical conditions (for example dementia, Alzheimer’s disease, stroke, ADHD or depression).

  • Always signpost customers to:

    • The Cognitive and Memory Support collection page.

    • Their own healthcare practitioner for tailored advice.

This approach keeps responses compliant with food supplement regulations and ensures that product choice is made with full knowledge of the individual’s health history and medications.

Standard response to use

Agents can use or adapt the following wording in replies (email, chat, phone notes):

Metabolics is not able to recommend specific supplements for cognitive health, memory or concentration, as the most suitable approach depends on your individual health, medications and nutritional status.

You are welcome to browse our Cognitive and Memory Support range here:
https://www.metabolics.com/collections/cognitive-and-memory-support

To understand which, if any, of these products may be appropriate for you, please discuss them with a suitably qualified healthcare practitioner, such as your GP, pharmacist, or a registered nutritional therapist.

This wording can be applied consistently across all channels whenever Metabolics is asked which products to take for brain health, memory, concentration or “cognitive support”.

How to signpost the collection page

When referencing the collection, keep the language neutral and non-medicinal:

  • “Metabolics offers a range of food supplements specifically formulated to support normal cognitive function and memory. You can view the full range here: https://www.metabolics.com/collections/cognitive-and-memory-support.”

  • Avoid wording that suggests prevention, treatment or cure of medical conditions, and instead refer to “supporting normal cognitive function” in line with permitted nutrition and health claims.

Do not describe any individual product’s effects in detail within support replies; instead, direct customers to the product pages where authorised claims and usage information are already presented.

Encouraging professional advice

Because cognitive concerns can have many underlying causes, it is essential that customers are encouraged to seek personalised guidance:

  • Suggest that customers speak to their GP, specialist, pharmacist or a registered nutritional therapist before starting any new supplement regime, especially if they have a diagnosis, take medication, or have complex health needs.

  • Reinforce that Metabolics products are food supplements, not medicines, and are intended to complement, not replace, a balanced diet and any treatment prescribed by a healthcare professional.

Using this framework in the Help Centre and in day-to-day responses will ensure consistent, compliant and supportive guidance for all cognitive health supplement enquiries
